Angelina Jolie Backs Down: No Oscars Meeting With Jennifer Aniston

It was the meeting that never was. Jennifer Aniston fulfilled her obligation to show up for the very worthy cause of the Night Before Oscars party, but Angelina Jolie backed down and she skipped the event. According to the invitation, Jolie and her boy toy and baby daddy Brad Pitt were supposed to be in attendance this year, but failed to show up.

That led to all kinds of reports of a possible knock down drag out fight night with Jolie and her pal Pitt finally coming face to face with Jennifer. The last time that all three were together was three years ago at that very event.

But alas Brangelina didn't show up. There were all kinds of insiders claiming that Jolie would be there and dominate the event with her big time confidence and her new baby bump and the talk of how she and Brad were set to challenge Jennifer head on. Unfortunately for those looking for a poolside showdown in Beverly Hills, even two against one Brad and Angelina stayed home and the possible showdown with Jennifer never took place.

It was the hottest ticket in town and was attended by dozens of A-list stars and raised a nice $6 million for the Motion Picture & Television Fund. It will be interesting to see the spin on this one.
